About the homeowner: Mrs. Earnest is frail. When her house was inspected for inclusion in our program, she warmly welcomed the inspector into a darkened house. The inspector discovered that she had no one who could change light bulbs for her. Her house was built in 1912 and is showing its age. Mrs. Earnest has lived in the home for 53 years.

Her greatest concern: Mrs. Earnest would like a new toilet and sink in her bathroom and two electric outlets.

What we found: A clogged outside drain caused the basement to flood. The drain will be cleared and the door and trim adjoining the drain will be replaced. In the bathroom, we’ll replace her drain line, toilet, vanity and sink.
